Robin's Rest, Nine Mile Burn

Robin's Rest is a three bedroom house recently completed at Nine Mile Burn near Penicuik. Part of the land lay within a flood plane and bore hole testing was carried out to establish water levels and to set a safe ground level for the house. Working to a budget the house has been designed as a traditional build with internal open plan living space and large window openings to frame views to the South and connect with the landscape at ground level. The fabric is highly energy efficient with an ASHP and photovoltaic panels.
