Robin's Rest, Nine Mile Burn

Robin's Rest is a three bedroom house currently in construction at Nine Mile Burn near Penicuik. The site was complex as part of it lies within a flood plane, bore hole testing was carried out to establish water levels and to set the levels. Working to a tight budget the house has been designed as a simple traditional build with internal open plan living space and large window openings to catch views to the South and picture window landscape views at ground level. The fabric is highly energy efficient with a new ASHP and photovoltaic panels.
